What is your role in this company?

"Even though I work full time as a business manager for a different local company, I work an additional 20ish hours here. I am behind the scenes doing the taxes, payroll, pricing, purchasing, and I manage the wholesale accounts. I do not typically deal with customers for hours a day, but I do openly give out my email address and encourage customers to contact me.  I love reading all the positive things our customers have to say and appreciate them taking the time to give my employees compliments."

What inspired you to start this company?

"Crafting has been around me my entire life. My Grandma was a seamstress, my mother made quilts and blankets and my aunt made everything she could! I started this company to provide crafters with a place where they can shop, get great deals and not feel pressured or feel buyer’s remorse for spending outside of their budget. When I was a kid, I watched my Mother and Aunt pick up and put down different supplies 2 or 3 times because they were not sure that the items in their carts were $60 or less (or whatever their budget was that day). All of our products have quantity pricing so you always get the most for your money. We cater to hobbyists, home-makers and retirees, growing crafting businesses and established crafting business that needs to buy hundreds of the same item!

I also understand the frustration of unanswered questions you may have about a product or item or the most efficient way to use it, that most store associates cannot answer. I remember one time when I made the ‘craft run’ for my aunt and I asked the sales associate to help me find something that was on her list, she looked confused. She asked another associate, she made something up and handed me the wrong product and then the manager was finally called over. I thought I would finally get what I needed. HE looked even more confused about the product and said, “I wish Susan was here to answer this.” I quickly realized that only one person in the entire store actually had any crafting experience. This is why I wanted to create the corresponding Facebook group. Crafters need a place where they can ask questions, get tips and tricks to maximize their craft supply purchase and learn how to start or grow their crafting business.

What are your goals for this company?

“I want to see Crafters Wholesale Superstore, LLC become our customers main source of purchasing their supplies. I want to keep giving our customers a diverse range of supplies and keep our prices lower than our competitors while offering quality products with exceptional customer service. How often do you get that combo?”
